About ME

Welcome to my artistic world, where the brush becomes a conduit for storytelling and the canvas becomes a stage for boundless expression.

It all began with a perceptive mentor, Professor Dinko Gazzari, who recognized the artistic soul within me during my time at a high school in Zagreb. Entrusting me with the management and organization of the Drama and Literary sections, he set me on a path of creative exploration that would shape my perspective on life forever. In my final year, I dared to adapt Garcia Lorca's work into a dramatic form, defying convention and embracing a touch of heresy. Surprisingly, the following season saw the esteemed HNK ensemble perform it in the same form during the autumn cycle, reaffirming the power of artistic conviction.

Beyond the boundaries of my homeland, my journey led me to a sacred encounter in Sri Lanka, where a distinguished Buddhist priest recognized a different dimension within me—an enlightened being. In the midst of countless tourists, he offered me an exclusive walk through Buddha's caves at a time reserved for offerings to the divine. Though I asserted my lack of religiosity, I embarked on this extraordinary conversation. Inside the caves, a well collected water drop by drop, defying gravity's pull. I was offered the keys to this mystical well, yet my response, infused with a touch of sarcasm, hinted at the scepticism of the ordinary in a world of wonder.

My adventurous spirit has woven tales of humour and terror, akin to the legendary Indiana Jones. Driving at breakneck speeds through Germany, and facing unforeseen perils in America, my experiences have been both harrowing and awe-inspiring. Yet, it seems as if a guiding hand has preserved me through these trials, just as a director shields their protagonist.

Throughout my journey, poetry and painting have been my steadfast companions, shaping my perspective on humanity and the environment over half a century. Each stroke of the brush, each verse of poetry, captures the essence of life's complexities, inviting you to embark on an artistic odyssey that knows no bounds.
